KINESIOLOGY LABS

The Motor Behavior Laboratory is equiped with an infrared 3D Motion analysis system with integrated EMG capability. The lab is housed in a 40' x 40' space which allows for data collection during the performance of most any motor activity. Computer assisted work stations allow for analysis of collected data.

Generally, the research goal of the laboratory is to understand the processes involved in the control and coordination of skilled movement. Our current projects involve the investigation of motor pattern change as a result of development and practice. Our approach is based on a dynamical systems perspective.
