DEPARTMENT OF
KINESIOLOGY
|
Welcome to the Kinesiology Department.
If you are fascinated by how the human body functions as a moving machine,
you will enjoy studying in our department. We use the principles of the
traditional sciences-biology, chemistry, physics, physiology, psychology,
and other disciplines to gain an understanding of how the body responds
to a wide range of physical activities. Your studies in our department
will involve coursework supplemented by a variety of hands-on learning
experiences in clinical, educational, research, and athletic settings.
We would be happy to tell you
more, so look through these pages and then come visit us over in room 172 of the Rickel
Academic Wing on the west side of the University Recreation Center on
the southwest corner of campus.

The goal of the Department of Kinesiology
is for students
to acquire a sound and comprehensive background in the
study of human movement, and be able to apply the
principles of kinesiology in a variety of movement-based
clinical, applied, and educational settings.
