The
Master of Science in Kinesiology is a 36-hour degree that can be
earned as either a thesis or non-thesis program. The program is
designed to be completed in two years as a full-time student. Students
can attend part-time and complete the degree in no more than five
years.
- The thesis program requires a major research project conducted
during the second year of study. The investigation is carried
out in close collaboration with a faculty advisor. Students who
plan to go on for their doctorate should choose this option.
- The treatise program is designed for those who would like to
take a broader array of electives since there is room in the degree
for six additional hours of coursework; however, it also requires
a culminating (treatise) project as well as a comprehensive exam.
